Senior lecturer of the Middle East and South Asia Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Ismagulova Symbat, who completed her PhD at Varanasi University in India, conducted a scientific seminar. The topic of the seminar is "British colonialism: the history of the Naga tribes”. This is a new topic that is being addressed for the first time in the field of Indology in Kazakhstan.
The seminar was attended by the faculty of the department, students, undergraduates. During the seminar, information from first-hand sources about the history, culture, and lifestyle of the Naga tribes was presented. The participants got acquainted with the methods and sources of research in Indian historical science.
