Conference “Kazakhstan's accession to the UN: the main areas of cooperation and the role of youth”

On Friday, March 1, 2024, in the UN Plaza, the UN Department of Global Communications in Almaty, together with the Academic regional resource center for information support about the UN at the Faculty of International Relations of al-Farabi KazNU, held an international conference for students and young scientists "Kazakhstan's accession to the UN: the main areas of cooperation and the role of youth", dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the accession of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Nations.

The conference was attended by students from various universities in Almaty, including Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Narkhoz, Turan and KIMEP.

The moderators of the international conference were Vlastimil Samek, Representative of the UN Department of Global Communications in Almaty and Delovarova Leila Fedorovna, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Director of the Academic regional resource center for information support about the UN at the Faculty of International Relations of al-Farabi KazNU

As guests of honor event was attended by Adlet Kumar, diplomat, author and presenter of TikTok channel @diplomatika_, KIMEP lecturer and member of the Supervisory Board of the IR Department.

The students made presentations in which they touched upon such topics as the importance of Kazakhstan's accession to the UN, Kazakhstan's achievements over the years of membership in the UN and the role of youth in the new international realities.

Supporting all the Sustainable Development Goals, on this memorable date, more attention was focused on Goal 4 "Quality education" and Goal 17 "Partnership for the goals".
