KazNU took part in the Middle East 2024 summit

Representatives of Al-Farabi KazNU took part in the QS Higher Education Summit: Middle East 2024, which was held in Ras Al Khaimah (United Arab Emirates). The theme of the summit: "Culture of innovation: improving the quality of education for a prosperous Middle East".

More than 470 representatives of higher education from 35 countries took part in the work of the summit, held in the building of American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK), including: acting director of the Center for Strategic Development of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Nurbolat Kudaibergenov and corporate secretary of the Board of Directors of KazNU Karlygash Useinova.
An exhibition of universities of the Middle East countries was held within the framework of the summit. Al-Farabi KazNU participated in it as a platinum sponsor. Representatives of KazNU familiarized themselves with the activities of universities, exchanged information. They visited the plenary sessions, where the following issues were discussed: internationalization of academic mobility, promotion of global employment, internationalization of faculty, increasing the global impact and reputation of research, building a global brand of the university.

 "Higher education today is crucial for regional growth and has an important place in today's globalized world. Universities need to adapt their programs to equip students with new skills and knowledge to meet the demands of the evolving labor market. Special attention should be paid to artificial intelligence, and universities using this technology should follow certain rules and make sure that it does not jeopardize the quality of education", - said N. Kudaibergenov.
Also representatives of KazNU emphasized the need to promote a culture of innovation. In their opinion, universities are doing important work to promote innovation and create a prosperous Middle East. Scientists and researchers should strengthen their work in order to increase the effectiveness of research.

Summit participants discussed topical issues related to promoting a culture of innovation, enhancing research results, and creating world-class universities.
