Young scientists from the Far East Department were awarded a prestigious scholarship.

       On March 11, 2024, at the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Kazakhstan, a ceremony was held to award recipients of the prestigious scholarship from the Korea Foundation. This scholarship is provided to young scientists outside of South Korea to provide scholarship support to master's and doctoral students specializing in research related to Korea. 3rd year doctoral student of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Department of Far East Ismailova S., 2nd year undergraduates Tulebaeva A. and Lamanova K. were honored to become scholarship holders for the current academic year.

      This scholarship is annual and is provided to support Korean scholars conducting research outside the Republic of Korea. Despite the fact that the competition is getting stronger every year, each year master's and doctoral students of the Far East Department become scholarship holders of this program. To receive this scholarship, you need to apply by yourself on the official website of the Korea Foundation, where you need to submit proposal, supporting this with three strong letters of recommendation and good academic performance. We would especially like to note that our young scientists have been receiving this scholarship for several years, confirming the status of the Department of the Far East as a flagship in the training of Korean students in Kazakhstan.
