SDG 4. Educational event on the theme “March 14 – Korisu holiday”

On March 14, a holiday was held around the campus of Al-Farabi KazNU, organized by students of group 115 of the educational program “Technical Physics”.

The purpose of this event is to introduce students to one of the customs and traditions of our Kazakh people, a feature of the Amal holiday, and to teach them to show respect for elders and honor younger ones.

On this day, people shake hands, happy to have come out of winter safely. On this day, all grievances are forgotten and forgiven. As soon as dawn breaks, each family, eagerly awaiting the celebration of the meeting, sets the table prepared in advance. Be sure to prepare bauyrsaks and greet guests with sweets on the table. Younger family members shake hands with older ones and go out to see each other. They greet each other with the words “Happy One Year!” The guest responds by saying: “Growing up a year! We celebrated one year safely!” Each family then meets with their neighbors. The younger generation goes to see families where older people live.
