KazNU discussed modern trends in mathematics

Al-Farabi KazNU hosted an international scientific-practical conference "Modern trends in the development of mathematics in the era of digital transformation" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi KazNU and the 85th anniversary of the birth of mathematician Zhasulan Sadykuly Sadykov.

The event gathered famous Kazakhstani and foreign scientists, leading experts in the field of mathematics, digitalization, representatives of faculty and students of the university.

The meeting was opened by the moderator - Dean of the Faculty of Pre-University Education, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor Spatai Sartaev. He emphasized the merits of the jubilee - a famous scientist Zhasulan Sadykuly Sadykov, who made a great contribution to the development of national science. Spatay Altynbekovich also noted the relevance of the theme of the conference, because in the era of digitalization a new stage in the development of mathematics has begun. Scientists will have to discuss modern trends in science and bring their ideas and projects for consideration.

Orken Mamyrbaev, Deputy Director General for Science of the Institute of Information and Computing Technologies of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, made a report on "Artificial Intelligence", focusing on such areas of AI applications as speech recognition and synthesis, natural language processing (NLP) and others.
At the plenary session, reports were also made by: Aigul Sadykova, PhD in Pedagogy, Aizhan Shankibaeva, graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics of Al-Farabi KazNU, Nuraliev Fakhriddin, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor of Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad Al-Khorezmi, Kuralay Esmakhanova, Associate Professor of L.N.Gumilev Eurasian National University, and others.

The conference continued with breakout sessions. The participants discussed topical problems of mathematics development in the era of modern digital transformation, exchanged ideas and experiences.
The conference was organized by the Department of Pre-University Training of the Faculty of Pre-University Education.
