History remembrance day - Mukhamedzhan Tynyshbaev (1879-1938)

1st year master's students of the Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies of the Faculty of History of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized an event on the occasion of the 145th anniversary of M. Tynyshbaev and the 90th anniversary of Kazakh National University Al-Farabi. The event was implemented based on sustainable development goals.
M. Tynyshbaev - the first Kazakh engineer, historian, researcher. A professional who took part in the design of the Turkestan-Siberian Railway, and then in its construction. One of the leading figures of the Alash movement, a figure who fought against the colonial policy of the Russian Empire and defended the Kazakh people from the whites and reds during the civil war.
The event was attended by the chairman of the foundation named after M. Tynyshbaev Nurshaken Zhunisovna and the executive director of the foundation Rustem Aitov Sametovich, laureates of the international scholarship “Bolashak”, a group of professors from the Academy of Logistics and Transport. During the event, in addition to exchanging opinions, they also shared memories from the life of the figure.
During the event, the documentary film “Gasyr Zhobasy”, created by order of the Akimat of the city of Almaty, was shown. The purpose of the event is to honor the name of Mukhamedzhan Tynyshbaev, one of the outstanding representatives of the national liberation movement, and to introduce him into the consciousness of generations.
