On the topic “Popularization of the development concept of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions for 2023-2033 and promotion of its provisions.

On March 13, 2024, within the framework of 17 SDGs dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University a lecture was held to promote the development concept of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions on the topic “Popularization of the development concept of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions for 2023-2033 and promotion of its provisions.” The lecturer was the chief expert of the N. Nazarbayev Center for the development of interfaith and intercivilizational dialogue, PhD Ruslan Ibraev. The lecture consisted of two parts: 1. The path to the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions was considered. 2. The fundamental documents of the congress, its structure and institutions are explained. The purpose of the event is to present a vision of the further development of the congress and its role in strengthening interreligious dialogue and cooperation in the modern world, as well as to convey to the audience the mission and goals of the congress in a changing world.
Faculty and students from the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies who attended the event listened to useful information, asked questions, and shared their own thought-provoking questions on the path to science.
