Sustainable Development Goal No. 17. HR CLUB meeting: HRM as a strategic partner of the company

On March 15, 2024, KIMEP University hosted a KIMEP HR CLUB meeting dedicated to the role of human resource management (HRM) as a company’s strategic partner in achieving sustainable development. Leading business experts spoke at the event.

Dmitry Revin, co-owner of the country’s largest malls “Aport” and chairman of the Union of Retail Real Estate Developers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, shared his experience of creating a training and development system for employees of the “Aport” company. Indira Ashirova, HRD Halyk Bank, presented an analysis of the HR transformation and digitalization process using the example of Halyk Bank, focusing on forming an employer brand. Saltanat Alirakhim, a successful business owner and career coach, gave a master class on critical skills for a successful career in the modern world.

The club was attended by KIMEP University graduate Aida Yerimpasheva, a senior lecturer at the Department of International Relations and World Economy, who actively participated in the discussion of essential topics related to global partnerships for sustainable development, in particular the strategic alliance of HRM with business to achieve sustainable development.

The interaction between HR specialists and company management is vital in forming an effective HR strategy, ensuring business growth, and creating a positive work environment. The event ended with an active exchange of ideas and experience between the participants, which contributed to the development of the HR community in Kazakhstan and strengthened HRM’s position as a strategic partner in business.
