Delegation of KazNU took part in the forum of the Alliance of Silk Road Universities

The delegation headed by the Chairman of the Board - Rector of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebayev took part in the forum of the Silk Road Universities Alliance in Xi'an

The international forum brought together representatives of universities in China and universities in Iran, Pakistan and Central Asia. During the event, the topic of modern trends in the digital learning system was discussed, and the results of work on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in universities were announced.

At the opening of the forum the rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebaev made a report, who noted the importance of the international event.
"I am sure that the forum, which is held in Xi'an city, will strengthen the connection between the universities of Central Asian countries. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University closely cooperates with the universities of Central Asia. Today KazNU is actively working on the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals. The university is a large-scale UN hub on SDGs. The UNESCO Chair works on the basis of the educational institution. In addition, the Scientific Center for Sustainable Development and Environmental Management will soon open in KazNU", - said the rector.

The event included speeches by the President of Jiaotong University, heads of the International Department of the Ministry of Education of China and universities from Iran, Pakistan and Central Asia.
At the end of the forum, university rectors signed an agreement to conduct online courses on the Sustainable Development Goals.

During the working trip, the delegation headed by Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with the deputy prosecutors general of Shaanxi region and Xi'an city and the leadership of Jiaotong University. Negotiations were also held to discuss the development of science and education and the implementation of common educational programs.
During the meeting KazNU named after Al-Farabi and Jiaotong University signed a memorandum on the implementation of the program of double-diploma education in the field of international law.
After the meeting the delegation of KazNU visited the research laboratories of Jiaotong University and familiarized with the scientific infrastructure of the educational institution.
