On March 18, 2024, students of the OP “Management” and teacher Zhainazar A. Zh. took part in the lecture “Drug addiction is a dangerous disease that devours a person’s life,” held within the framework of SDG 3 - “Healthy lifestyle and well-being.” The lecture was given by representatives of the Almaty city prosecutor's office and the Mental Health Center.
"Drug addiction (from the Greek narke - stiffen and manіa - madness, rabies) is a chronic disease that occurs as a result of pathological addiction to narcotic substances. To prevent drug use and drug-related problems, it is necessary to increase the level of awareness among young people about the problems associated with drugs, develop skills to combat substance use. Determining the level of students' knowledge about the problem under consideration is essential. The lecture was held with the aim of providing accurate information about the causes and consequences of drug use and possible strategies for action.
