Military journalism issues discussed

Chairman of the Board-Rector of the Al-Farabi  Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebaev met with veteran teacher, professor, honorary researcher, academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences Lyayla Akhmetova.

At the meeting, the parties discussed problematic issues of journalism, including military journalism, and considered ways of development.

During the meeting, Lyayla Seysembekovna told the rector of the university Zhanseit Tuimebayev about the work being done at the educational institution to train qualified journalists.

In turn, the head of the treasury thanked the honorary professor for hard work at the university and invaluable contribution to the development of national military journalism. Also in his speech, the rector congratulated Layla Akhmetova on her 70th birthday.

"You are a moral teacher, a qualified scientist who has raised several generations of students in the field of national journalism.

As a veteran teacher of the university, you have been fruitfully working in the treasury of "Kara Shanyrak" for more than fifty years. You have conducted fundamental research in the field of war journalism, written scientific-publicistic articles, published substantial monographs. Having collected new data on the history of World War II, you demonstrated the heroism of Kazakhstanis at the front. The successes achieved to date have been recognized by the international scientific community and awarded prestigious prizes. Honored Worker of Culture of Kazakhstan, Honorary Worker of Science, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Academician of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio. Your productive labor and achieved successes serve as an example for the young people studying. The University is proud of its experienced scientists", - said the rector.

At the end of the speech Zhanseit Tuimebaev awarded the outstanding teacher-scientist Lyayla Seysembekovna with silver medal "Al-Farabi" for services to the Treasury.
