The national team of Kazakhstan, led by Nurdaulet Dosmagambet, a 3rd year doctoral student at the Department of Mechanics, became the champion of the robotics competition in Singapore.

An international robotics competition called FIRST Global Challenge was organized in Singapore, in which representatives of 191 countries took part. In this international competition, the Grand Prix was won by the national team of Kazakhstan led by Nurdaulet Dosmagambet, PhD student of the Department of Mechanics, an active member of the RoboMech Research and Education Center and one of the founders of USTEM FOUNDATION (a public foundation for the development of engineering in Kazakhstan and Central Asia).

The FIRST Global Challenge Championship, first launched in 2017, is a forum that promotes technology, engineering and math or STEM knowledge around the world.

FIRST Global communications manager Matt Stalford cited the very high level of the Kazakh team in an interview with Singapore's CNA TV channel, noting that this competition gives a boost to the dynamic development of robotics.

During the competition, Nurdaulet Dosmagambet gave an exclusive live interview on the international CNA channel in Singapore, which is broadcast in 26 countries, and contributed to strengthening the image of our country.

He also made a presentation to the country's President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev and shared his plans for the future development of robotics in Kazakhstan.
