Ensuring sustainable consumption and production
On March 15, 2024, at the Faculty of Philology, within the framework of SDG 12 Reasonable Consumption and Production the 1st-year master’s degree students Foreign Philology major from the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies, Saktagan Sh.S., Seralina A.K. and group advisor Alpysbayeva A.E. conducted a demo lesson with the 2st-year students of “6B002303-Translation Studies” on the topic: «Ensuring sustainable consumption and production». The students were divided into two groups and discussed the problems of food consumption and production in the modern society.
The interactive games and the team work allowed the students not only to deepen their knowledge about the Sustainable Development Goals, but also to put them into practice by working on the specific projects. The discussion of the developed business plans and the models has become not only a test of knowledge, but also an opportunity to show creativity and an ability to cooperate.
The results of the demo lesson turned out to be impressive: the students not only showed a deep understanding of the problem and possible ways to solve it, but also demonstrated their ability to think creatively and cooperate in solving complex problems. This event was a great example of how education can become a tool for creating positive changes in the world.
