DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - A DISEASE OF THE CENTURY

03/27/2024 at 13:00 at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Faculty of History, together with students of the Faculty of Journalism and the Faculty of Law, held an event on the topic “DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - A DISEASE OF THE CENTURY” as part of the implementation of the 5th goal SDG “Gender Equality”. The organizers of the event were Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Tasilova N.A., Candidate of Historical Sciences, Senior Lecturer Khasanaeva L.M., teacher Mensitova G.I., highlighting issues regarding domestic violence among young people, which has become a disease of society, its negative aspects and measures to prevent violence. As part of the event, a photo exhibition on this topic was held. The exhibition depicted different types of violence, humiliation of youth and women, facts that are invisible in society, but forever leave a mark on everyone’s heart. Students Shamshadinova M., Syrlybay G. and Satay A. took part in the exhibition and painted pictures. At the event, videos were presented about measures to prevent domestic violence based on a survey of deputies, university teachers, social activists, and students of different universities. Students Zharkynbek Zh., Sovetzhanuly M., Ernatkyzy A., Seytkali A. shared their thoughts about violence prevention. The guests of the event were Candidate of Historical Sciences, Senior Lecturer Noyanov E.N., Candidate of Historical Sciences, Senior Lecturer Arynov Zh.M., who also noted the psychological and educational significance of this topic.
