KazNU expands cooperation with Russian universities

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the heads of higher educational institutions of Russia, who arrived in KazNU with a working visit.

In particular, the head of the university held talks with Vladimir Shevchenko, Rector of MEPhI Nuclear Research University, Sergey Bocharov, Rector of Altai State University, Vladimir Demkin, Advisor to the TSU Rectorate, Alexander Bedny, Vice-Rector for International Activities and Networking at Lobachevsky University, Dmitry Vasilenko, Vice-Rector for International Relations at St. Petersburg State University of Economics, and Dmitry Vasilenko, Director for Interaction with Basic Organisations.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the further development of cooperation in science and education. The heads of the educational institutions also discussed the implementation of double degree programmes, joint research activities, student and teacher exchanges and mutual scientific internships.

Rector Zhanseit Tuimebaev informed the heads of Russian universities about scientific and educational activities of KazNU.
In turn, the guests of honour voiced their ideas and proposals, and also thanked the university administration for a warm welcome and for the high organisation of the forum of rectors of Kazakhstan and Russia in the walls of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
