Value foundations of integration processes in Eurasia: Results of the X International Scientific and Practical Conference

On March 28–29, 2024, the X International Scientific and Practical Conference of Eurasian Studies was held, bringing together scientists from Eurasia. The conference is devoted to considering the value foundations of integration processes in Eurasia. Such a large-scale event became a platform for discussing current topics related to the development of the Eurasian space. It brought together leading scientists, specialists, and practitioners in international relations, economics, and sociology.

The Section “Modern trends in the development of international relations: norms and values,” moderated by Professor Galiya Akhmetvalevna Movkebaeva, director of the Research Center for Eurasian Studies of Al Farabi KazNU, became a forum for discussing critical aspects of modern politics and culture.

The academicians from the International Relations and World Economy Department actively participated in the conference and presented their research and reports. Aida Tilektesovna Yeimpasheva presented the prospects and difficulties of Central Asian integration based on norms and values. Her report contributed to understanding the processes in this strategically important region.

Another essential topic raised at the conference was the role and activities of the AIFC (Astana International Financial Center). Aida Menlibaevna Myrzakhmetova presented a comprehensive analysis outlining this center’s influence on the region’s economic development.

Leila Fedorovna Delovarova attracted the audience’s attention with her research on migration processes in modern Kazakhstan, identifying trends and potential for cooperation in Central Asian countries.

The conference participants agreed that value foundations are essential in shaping integration processes in Eurasia. They contribute to the establishment of closer ties between states and create the basis for sustainable development and prosperity in the region as a whole.

The event ended on an optimistic note, leaving behind many ideas and identifying prospects for further research and cooperation in Eurasian studies.
