A JOURNEY TO THE WORLD OF JOURNALISM

The Forum  “Young Correspondents” has become a traditional event that constantly increases the creative potential of applicants and provides a ticket to the world of journalism.

The “Young Correspondents” forum has a half-century history. The first Republican rally called “Young Correspondents” was organized by the Central Committee of the Komsomol in May 1975. At the beginning of the event, such famous poets and writers as O. Suleimenov, F. Ongarsynova, D. Stambekov, Sh. Smakhanovich took part. Only over the last twenty years has the Young Correspondents forum been held in a new format, in a modern style.

Among the famous young reporters are Kanat Auesbay, Ruslan Medelbek, Doszhan Balabekovich, Alpamys Faizolla, talented journalists and media specialists.

At the opening of the forum, the head of the Department of Print and Electronic Media of the Faculty of Journalism, Professor Gulmira Sultanbaeva and senior lecturer Serik Zhumabekovich made a welcoming speech.

Zhusupbek Svintsbek, Zhanylkhan Asylbekova, a television journalist, Berikbol Tolegen, and master classes for young correspondents spoke about the work of a newspaper journalist.

At the end of the forum, the best creative works were awarded. According to the results of the competition “Best Young Correspondent - 2024”, the Grand Prix was awarded to the work of a young correspondent for the Ulan newspaper, Diana Agzamova, a graduate of school No. 11 in Semey, Abay region. At the end of the forum, the Faculty of Journalism of KazNU named after. Al-Farabi presented the winners with prizes and diplomas.
