Workshop on the topic “Young scientists: problems and prospects for the development of science”

On April 06, a workshop was organized at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences on the topic “Young scientists: problems and prospects for the development of science” as part of the International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists “FARABI ALEMI”. The organizers of the workshop were the Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences A.S. Aktymbayeva, Deputy Dean for Scientific and Innovation Activities and International Relations A.A. Rysmagambetova.

During the event, young scientists and doctoral students raised the problems they face when implementing scientific research activities and made their proposals for the development of research within the framework of scientific projects and PhD dissertations. Dean of the Faculty Aktymbaeva A.S. noted that young scientists play a key role in the development of new technologies, which helps the development of science as a whole. However, at the moment there is a low percentage of doctoral students being protected. In this regard, in order to increase the efficiency of training doctoral students and strengthen the work on timely submission of doctoral students for defense, the work plan of the Faculty Academic Council includes the issue of timely defense of doctoral students with the mandatory involvement of doctoral students and their scientific advisers.
