Seminar “Conducting gender research for sustainable development”: Scientific cooperation of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Almaty Management University

On April 9, 2024, the Faculty of International Relations of KazNU, together with Almaty Management University, organized and conducted a seminar on the topic “Conducting gender research for sustainable development” for doctoral students of the EP “World Economy,” “Regional Studies,” “International Relations,” and “Management.” The organizers of this scientific event were c.e.s. Aida Yerimpasheva and Ph.D. Anastasia Lipovka, associate professor of Almaty Management University.

The seminar brought together interested participants who wanted to explore the relationship between gender studies and sustainable development. During the event, participants discussed various methodologies and approaches to conducting gender-sensitive research in the context of sustainable development. Particular attention was paid to interdisciplinary approaches to understand how gender dynamics influence economics, regional processes, international relations, and governance, paving the way for more inclusive and effective sustainable development strategies.

Such collaborative efforts enrich academic discourse and contribute to a deep understanding of the global community's complex challenges. Faculty of International Relations of KazNU and Almaty Management University is looking forward to the following initiatives aimed at further expanding knowledge and commitment in promoting gender equality and sustainable development.
