"Digital transformation and sustainable development in secondary education: challenges and opportunities"

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, which has witnessed many crucial periods and socio-economic changes in its 90-year history, today, as a university with strengthened international ties, has determined its place in the global educational space and retained a leading position among multidisciplinary higher educational institutions of the country.

In its long history, the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology has never lost and will never lose a special attitude to teaching. And, well understanding and deeply feeling the main task of the last generation of teachers, they not only revive the values of pedagogical activity, but also train highly qualified and competitive specialists in all fields with great personal and professional potential. They continue to work tirelessly to educate a new, younger generation of students.

In honor of the 90th anniversary of our university, a scientific and practical seminar on the topic was held for chemistry teachers at the school: "Modern problems in the field of secondary education", organized by the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry. This event was held within the framework of the SDGs, which aims to solve modern problems of teaching chemistry in the framework of quality education.

Speakers of the section: a young scientist, member of the National Council for Science and Technology under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Dias Tastanbekov; Chairman of the Board of the KazBilim Group of companies -Ayatzhan Akhmetzhan, also teachers of higher educational institutions and school chemistry teachers of Almaty took part in the scientific and practical seminar.
