At KazNU named after al-Farabi, as part of university-wide actions to implement the sustainable development goals of the “17 Moments of Spring” project, a number of different events are being held. In the first direction of the SDG project “Zero Hunger”, a competition was held for the best Tik-Tok video.
Each faculty has its own food outlets, since food is a traditional source of life and comfort, so it is not surprising that students away from home may crave the tastes and smells of familiar dishes that are offered to them in a wide range.
Students of the Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners are trained in two buildings, namely in the faculties of Oriental Studies and Pre-University Education. In these buildings, for the convenience of students, there are canteens, as well as cozy coffee shops, reminiscent of mini-cafes, where you can buy delicious snacks, aromatic coffee of various types, and drinks.
Our coffee shops and canteens are widely popular not only among students, but also among university staff. During the lunch rush hour there are queues of people wanting to eat a full meal. The service is fast and high quality, so the dining room is never empty. Regular visitors from among students say that you can eat here nourishingly, tasty and inexpensively, especially students, Residents of the dorm say that when they dine in the dining room, they get a “taste of home.” In addition, many people buy aromatic pastries to take with them. Sometimes they gather here not only to have lunch, but simply to chat over a cup of coffee or tea. Foreign students say: “We have the opportunity to gain a lot of knowledge in classes and eat delicious food by visiting our canteens and coffee shops.”
