Conference «Modern Trends in Sustainable Development of Biological Sciences»

The Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology organized the first conference in Kazakhstan “Modern Trends in Sustainable Development of Biological Sciences”, the materials of which will be included in the international Scopus database.

In total, the organizing committee received more than 140 abstracts and only 100 were selected for publication. The honorary guests of the Fundamental and Applied Research in Genetics and Molecular Biology section were Professor Saitu Naruya from the National Institute of Genetics of Japan, Professor Nazarbayev University Dos Sarbasov, who described the role of the mTOR signalling system, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rakhmetkazhi Bersimbaev, Director of the National Center of Biotechnology Aisha Iskakova, Director of the Institute of Physiology and Genetics Gulnur Zhunusova.

A total of 13 people made presentations, incl. master's and doctoral students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the University of Lorraine.
