XIII Republican student subject Olympiad

April 29 - 30, 2024

On April 29 - 30, 2024 Al-Farabi Kazakh National University conducts the II stage of the subject Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The aim of the Olympiad: disclosure of creative abilities, selection and support of the most talented and gifted students; assistance in the formation of the intellectual potential of students; attracting students to address scientific problems; development of interest in scientific activity.

Working languages of the Olympiad: Kazakh, Russian, English.

Stage II of the Republican Student Subject Olympiad is held in the following majors:

6В03102 Сultural studies

6В01101 Pedagogy and psychology

6B02203 Religious studies

PARTICIPATION

Students of higher educational institutions who are the winners of the first stage of intra-university rounds of the Olympiad are invited to participate in the II stage of the Republican student subject Olympiad.

To participate in the Olympiad, it is necessary to send the following scanned documents to the Olympiad organizing committee by April 25, 2024:

1. Applications for participation;

2. A letter signed by the rector (vice-rector);

3. The protocol of the commission on the results of the 1st stage of the Olympiad.

GENERAL RULES OF THE REPUBLICAN OLYMPIAD

The Republican Olympiad will be held in 2 stages:

1) the first stage is intra-university;

2) the second stage - in base universities;

Students of higher educational institutions in priority areas of training and majors of higher education can take part in the first stage of the Olympiad.

The dean (vice-dean) of the university organizes competition commissions for the relevant sections of the competition, including representatives of leading scientific organizations, industrial enterprises, local authorities.

According to the results of the I stage of the Olympiad (intra-university), the competitive commission of the university, approved by the order of the dean (vice-dean), on a competitive basis selects and sends the best students of the university to base universities to participate in the second stage of the competition.

When nominating students for participation in the II stage of the Olympiad, the higher educational institution sends the following documents to the base university: a letter signed by the dean (vice-dean) on the results of the first stage of the Olympiad or the decision of the Academic Council of the university, which is drawn up in a protocol.

The procedure for summing up the results of the Republican Olympiad

The competition committee of the base university recommends the prize-winners in the following order:

for 1st place - I degree diploma of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (no more than one student);

for the 2nd place - diplomas of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan II degree (no more than two students);

for the 3rd place - diplomas of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, III degree (no more than three students).

The decision of the republican commission to determine the winners of the II stage of the Olympiad is drawn up by the corresponding protocol, signed by all its members.

The procedure for awarding the winners of the Republican

Olympiad

The winners of the Republican Olympiad, who took 1, 2, 3 places, are awarded with diplomas of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan I, II, III degrees. The management of the higher educational institution is invited to encourage students - winners of the Olympiad at the expense of the university.

ORGANIZATION OF THE II STAGE OF THE REPUBLICAN STUDENT SUBJECT OLYMPIAD

- II stage of the Republican Olympiad is held in the following majors 6В03102 Сultural studies, 6В01101 Pedagogy and psychology, 6B02203 Religious studies on the basis of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science on April 29-30, 2024. Working languages: Kazakh, Russian, English.

- To organize the Republican Subject Olympiad, the members of the organizing committee are appointed, who form an expert group, a jury for majors.

- The organizing committee determines the specific dates for the Republican subject Olympiad and develops a program. Brings information to the participants.

- The organizing committee approves the tasks for the Olympiad.

- The organizing committee organizes the Olympiad, decides the organizational issues of assignments, the procedure for awarding participants.

- An expert group (experienced teachers) develops the content of the competition tasks, determines the stages, rounds of the Olympiad.

- The jury evaluates the results of the participants' performances, their performance of tasks in accordance with the selected or developed methodology and evaluation criteria, determines the winners. The jury includes directors, leading specialists of scientific organizations, centers and highly qualified teachers of the university. The composition of the jury is approved by the vice-rector for scientific and innovative activities of Al-Farabi KazNU.

- The jury has the right to consider the claims of the participants of the Republican Subject Olympiad.

- When analyzing controversial issues, the jury has the right to either increase the mark (or leave it the same), or lower it if errors are found that were not noticed during the initial check. The jury's decision is final.

- All decisions of the jury are recorded and unsubscribed by the responsible person.

- The team should have no more than 3 students.

- Participants of the 2021-2023 Olympiad are not allowed to participate.

THE ORDER OF SUMMING UP THE OLYMPIAD RESULTS

The results of the II stage of the Republican student subject Olympiad in these specialties are summed up by the jury.

- The winners in the team standings are awarded 1, 2, 3 places. It is possible to award two second and three third places. Teams that won prizes are awarded with the corresponding diplomas of KazNU named after Al-Farabi.

- Students who took 1,2,3 places are awarded with diplomas of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan I, II, III degrees. The number of prizes in the standings can be: one - first place, two - second places, three - third places.
