The topic was: “Women in the healthcare workforce”
This timely theme was aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and aimed to eradicate poverty and promote the creation of decent jobs for women, as well as gender inequalities in the health workforce. It turned out to be an interesting and lively discussion, because in 2024 the World Health Organization declared this problem a key one in the structure of issues that need to be addressed in global health.

Processes aimed at reforming the domestic healthcare system and optimizing medical organizations against the backdrop of high competition in the market for paid medical services, along with adjustments to the legislative framework regarding the procedure for providing medical care and requirements for the professional competencies of medical workers, necessitate the development of new approaches to management in the field of health care. health and provision of medical care. Today, transformation of the healthcare system infrastructure is required in order to meet the needs of patients for medical care and ensure the quality of medical services in accordance with the standards of medical care. The task of eliminating personnel imbalances in the distribution of medical specialists across levels and conditions of medical care comes to the fore. These needs create new working conditions for medical workers, depending on various factors, predetermining the gender characteristics of employment in healthcare. Gender inequality is at the heart of the global health and social crisis, according to a new WHO report (March 2024).
