From 15/04/24 to 19/04/24, within the framework of the project "debt-free society" at the College of Al-Farabi KazNU, lecturer, financial expert Zh. R. Birasyl conducted a training seminar on improving financial literacy for the teaching staff.
In recent years, gambling addiction has grown, and the number of those who take out loans and are in debt has increased. For some families, this brings financial difficulties, while for others it causes psychological stress, leading to tragedy. The president drew attention to the bad habit, especially among young people, and strictly instructed state bodies to tighten restrictions on gambling for certain categories of citizens, to hold events that improve the financial literacy of the general population. In February of this year, the Republican campaign "debt - free society" was launched.
The project "debt − free society" is a joint initiative of the political party "AMANAT", the association for the development of rural business "Uly Dala", aimed at increasing the financial literacy of the population. The aim of the project is to increase the financial literacy of the population. To date, about 6.3 million Kazakhstanis have not repaid bank loans. Another 1.2 million Kazakhstanis received loans from microfinance organizations. This affects the social well-being of citizens.
During the event, lecturer Zh. R. Birasyl showed how to find solutions to emerging problems by giving examples from real situations, teaching how to effectively use free cash, develop a personal financial plan, calculate income and expenses. The topic of the seminar aroused the interest of teachers and was discussed.
