The directions of literary criticism discussed in KazNU

Al-Farabi KazNU hosted an international scientific-practical conference "A. Zhaksylykov. The World of the Writer, Scientist, Translator: Answers to the Challenges of the Era" dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Doctor of Philological Sciences Professor Aslan Zhamelevich Zhaksylykov and the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.  

The event was attended by famous scientists, prominent state and public figures, writers, representatives of management and faculty, students of Al-Farabi KazNU.

On behalf of the Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebaev, Aslan Zhamelevich was congratulated by the Member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities Zhamila Aitzhanova. "We appreciate and admire the fact that your whole life is connected with Al-Farabi KazNU. You approached your anniversary with a great baggage of creative, scientific and educational results. As the author of numerous scientific works on Kazakh literature and literary theory, manuals and textbooks, you have created many important scientific works: "Auezov's prose of 20-30 years", "Religious motives of fiction", "Collection of essays" and many others. Her works are read not only in Kazakhstan, but also abroad: "The Enlightenment of Ahmed Yasawi", "Singing Stones", "Dreams of Okayan", "The Other Shore". It is especially important that you, as a master of the translator's craft, were able to bring modern Kazakh prose to the reader. For students, masters and postgraduates you have become an example of a bright creative personality, a great teacher who loves his homeland, people and native university. From the bottom of our hearts we wish you new successes and discoveries", - said in the congratulatory message.

The event was moderated by Nursulu Shaimerdenova, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, member of the ANC NEC.

For many years as a professor of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, an academician of the International Academy of Informatization, a member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, the International Kazakh PEN Club, as well as the Chairman of the Council on Russian Literature and Literary Relations of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, you are an example of how internal work on oneself, strict discipline forms a worthy person, scientist, teacher and creator", - said Bayan Umirbekovna.
