How can families handle the problem of their child being bullied through social media?
On April 17, 2024 within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 5: “ Gender equalit”; and Sustainable Development Goals 16. “Peace, justice and strong institutions”, PhD, Tektibaeva D.D. and PhD, Asanova S.E. together with the 1st year students of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi KazNU held a round table discussion on the topic: “How can families handle the problem of their child being bullied through social media?”. The work of the round table discussion covered a wide range of issues devoted to the consideration of this problem in the NLA of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international experience, the work of the Commissioner for Children's Rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as a discussion of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on ensuring the rights of women and child safety”, signed by the President on April 15, 2024. The reports especially emphasized the importance of preventive and proactive measures aimed at stopping bullying on social networks. At the end of the round table discussion, there were given the recommendations that have social and political significance for the sustainable development of a bullying-free society.
