Issues of interaction between science and business discussed in KazNU

Al-Farabi KazNU hosts the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference "Science and Business" aimed at strengthening the scientific potential in the Republic of Kazakhstan and developing partnership between the university, business and scientific community.

The aim of the conference is to develop integration processes between the scientific community and the industrial sector of the country in the field of commercialization of the results of innovative technologies for the production of import substitution products.

The forum brought together leading Kazakh and foreign scientists, experts, representatives of enterprises, businessmen, teachers and students of universities.

The participants were welcomed by the moderator of the event - the chairman of the conference, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Academician of KazNAEN Sestager Aknazarov. "The purpose of the scientific conference is to search for new ways of scientific development, to study the opportunities of partnership between science and business for all sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan. This is what is stated in the election program of our President K.K. Tokayev "Fair Kazakhstan for all and for everyone now and forever, where the main goals of national policy are outlined", - said Sestager Khusainovich.

A welcoming speech on behalf of the management of Al-Farabi KazNU was delivered by a member of the Board - Vice Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities Zhamila Aitzhanova. Noting the relevance of the conference topics in the field of combustion, plasma chemistry, nanotechnology and nanomaterials, catalysis, medicine, ecology, she emphasized: "For the perspective and efficiency of fulfillment of the set tasks of science development it is necessary to integrate innovative enterprises and higher education institutions, corresponding priorities. This will optimize the mechanisms of formation of research works and targeted educational programs, close to the tasks of enterprises, and will contribute to 100% demand for young specialists".

The event was also addressed by: Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Honorary Professor of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi V.S. Shkolnik, Head of the Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty I.J. Raimov, Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Z.P. Kuziev and others.

Reports on topical issues within the plenary session were presented by General Director of LLP "Scientific and Production Center of Microbiology and Virology", Academician, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor A.K. Sadanov ("Development and Organization of Production of Domestic Biological Preparations for Agro-Industrial Complex"), Deputy General Director for Innovation Activities of the Institute of Fuel, Catalysis and Electrochemistry D.V. Sokolsky Institute of Fuel, Catalysis and Electrochemistry B.H. Husain ("Domestic Systems for Purification of Emissions from Vehicles and Industrial Processes"). D.V. Sokolsky Institute of Fuel, Catalysis and Electrochemistry B.H. Husain ("Domestic systems for purification of emissions of motor vehicles and industrial plants from toxic components"), Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, Vice-President of the Kazakh Academy of Nutrition, two-time laureate of the State Prize Y.A. Sinyavsky ("Development of space food products") and others.

The participants of the conference discussed the results of modern research, exchanged experience, including methods of involvement of students and young scientists in scientific research, established new contacts and strengthened existing business relations.

The event was co-organized by the Research and Production Technical Center "Zhalyn", which is a leader in the field of innovative technologies.
