Professor, Doctor of Biology, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bolatkhan Zayadan took part in the international scientific and practical conference “Kanysh Satbaev - the pride of the nation”, held at the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilev

April 12, 2024, the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov hosted an international scientific and practical conference “Kanysh Satbaev – the pride of the nation”, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Kanysh Satbayev.

The conference was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Science and Innovation Kunsulu Zakaria, President of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akylbek Kurishbayev, Members of Parliament, representatives of the scientific and academic community, public figures, as well as a professor of the department Biotechnology Al-Farabi KazNU, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bolatkhan Zayadan.

During the conference, Advisor to the President Kunsulu Zakaria read out a congratulatory letter from the Head of State, which noted that “Kanysh Satpayev is a great personality who occupies a special place in the history of Kazakhstan, and the generation must fully glorify the rich heritage of the academician.”

“In 2024, the scientific community widely celebrates the 125th anniversary of the birth of the country’s first academician, founder of the National Academy of Sciences Kanysh Imantaevich Satpayev. The government has approved a nationwide plan for preparing and holding the 125th anniversary of the academician. It is planned to conduct a comprehensive study of the scientist’s scientific and cultural heritage. Based on its results, a complete academic five-volume collection of Satpayev’s works will be published.

During the conference, participants discussed issues of popularizing the legacy of Kanysh Imantaevich, the tasks set by the Head of State at a meeting of the National Council for Science and Technology.

Also, in tribute to the memory of Kanysh Satpayev, the exhibition “Planetarlyk dengeydegi tulga” opened on this day. The exhibition is divided into several thematic zones.
