Meeting with the doctor of the Sunkar youth center at the Almaty City Clinic No. 12 Bakpauly P.

As part of achieving SDG 3 “Healthy lifestyle and well-being” (3.3.1. Current cooperation with healthcare institutions), on February 9, 2024, the Department of Analytical, Colloid Chemistry and Rare Element Technology organized a meeting with the doctor of the Sunkar youth center at Almaty City Clinic No. 12 Parasat Bakpauly on the topic "Routes of HIV transmission and protective measures." He spoke about the routes of HIV transmission and protective measures, as well as the epidemiological situation in Almaty. Participants of the event received information about the prevention of stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV, and how these phenomena negatively affect the situation with HIV. He also explained that it is possible to undergo a rapid test to determine HIV status. Students received answers to many questions. The meeting was organized by associate professor of the department Kerimkulova M.Zh. for students of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology.
