Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Altay Gabdrakhmanovich Kazmagambetov was appointed as a member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
Altay Kazmagambetov, appointed by the decree of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was introduced to the staff of the university by the Vice Rector for Operations Yerkin Duisenov.
Altai Gabdrakhmanovich graduated with honors from the Faculty of Natural Geography of the Kazakh Pedagogical Institute named after Abai with a degree in Geography-Biology.
He began his professional activity as a geography teacher at the secondary school #65 in Almaty. In 1990-91 he worked as a teacher, then as an associate professor and professor of the Department of Pedagogy at the Kazakh National Pedagogical Institute named after Abai. From 2004 to 2006 he worked as the Vice President for Science and International Relations at the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H.A. Yasawi.
In 2006 he became the Vice-President of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H.A. Yasawi in Ankara. In 2007-08 he successfully worked as the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Control in the Sphere of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2008-11 he held the position of Rector of the Atyrau State University named after H.Dosmukhamedov.
