MOOCs to combat domestic violence: visit of the KazNU research group to the Central Research Institute of the Caspian University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh. Yesenova.
Within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goal 4, aimed at ensuring inclusive and equitable education, as well as promoting lifelong learning opportunities, the research group on the project "Victimological problems of preventing domestic violence" from the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University visited the Center for the Development of Educational Resources (CROR) of the Caspian University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh. Yesenova.
The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the tools for the implementation of MOOCs (massive open online courses), which can become a powerful tool in the fight against domestic violence.
During the meeting, the group members got acquainted with the Moodle platform, explored the possibilities of creating and administering online courses, and discussed the potential of MOOCs to raise awareness of the problem of domestic violence, provide knowledge and skills for its prevention and protection of victims.
The use of MOOCs in this area has a number of advantages:
* Wide audience coverage: MOOCs allow you to reach an unlimited number of people living in different regions of the country, which increases the availability of information about domestic violence.
* Interactivity: MOOCs can include various interactive elements such as tests, quizzes, discussion forums, which makes learning more fun and effective.
* Accessibility: MOOCs are usually free or available at a low price, making them accessible to a wide range of people.
* Flexibility: Students can take MOOCs at their convenience and at their own pace.
The implementation of the MOOC on domestic violence can be an important step towards creating a safer and more inclusive society.
