On April 23, Book Day is celebrated all over the world. It was established by the UNESCO General Conference in 1995. The book is an inexhaustible spiritual treasure. Preserving spiritual wealth and passing it on from generation to generation is what should be a priority for young people today. On this occasion, senior teacher of the Department of Foreign Languages Mombekova N.B. held an event with the 1st year students of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology. The aim of the event was to increase students' interest in reading. During the lesson, the students explained the meaning of quotes related to the topic, described their favorite characters, staged an extract from short story "Girl" by O'Henry and exchanged books. At the end of the lesson, they completed a Quizlet test. The lesson was very interesting.
