500 students of KazNU took part in the week "Zhasyl Aimak"

Students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took an active part in the republican week "Zhasyl Aimak". This action is held within the framework of the environmental action "Taza Kazakstan".

Let us remind you that today the Head of State Kasym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the city-wide subbotnik organized within the framework of the republican environmental action "Taza Kazakstan", where he planted a tree in the alley "Ulytau" in Astana.

"There is no doubt that landscaping and gardening of our country is a matter of great national importance. This is not a one-time campaign, that is, today you go out and tomorrow you forget. Such work should be carried out regularly. This is a national task. We must take care of our common home - Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan should always be clean and beautiful," the President said.

The project "Clean Campus" was planned and approved in Al-Farabi KazNU within the framework of the environmental action "Taza Kazakhstan". During five weeks, teachers, staff and students of higher education institution will plant seedlings and clean up the educational buildings, classrooms, offices and centers.

In addition, the monuments of Al-Farabi and U. Zholdasbekov, the stele with the clock "Mangilik El" will be washed. It is planned to clean the exterior and remove pollution from the facades of buildings, and will also provide assistance in cleaning the nursing home.

Within the framework of today's action the youth of KazNU carried out cleaning in the area of Almaty city. The bottoms of saplings were cleaned, household waste and garbage were taken out. Also students of KazNU took part in planting saplings in the park "Karagaily" and contributed to improving the ecology of the neighborhood.

 "Almaty is our common home. We are all obliged to plant saplings to keep the beautiful city clean, remove garbage and take care of the environment. Therefore, we are all obliged to participate in this campaign," said Aben Sagymbekov, a 2nd year student of KazNU.
