International seminar - The Informatics and Data Science for Health

Professors of the NAO KazNU Faculty of Medicine and Health Care Kapanova A.B., Daniyarova A.B., Tanbaevae G.Z., took part in the international seminar The Informatics and Data Science for Health, aimed at developing education in the field of innovative methods and tools for data processing , improving public health informatics using multisectoral, interdisciplinary approaches tailored to country-specific needs, and building long-term and sustainable regional capacity.
The purpose of this workshop, organized by the Curatio International foundation, is to collaborate with the government, academic sectors of Kazakhstan, Moldova and Georgia to identify countries' needs for a workforce capable of working with data and informatics for public health.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Tamar Gabunia, Deputy Minister of Health of Georgia; Dr. Jennifer Gilvidis, University of Washington, INSIGHT Program Director; Stephen Becknell, Deputy Director, US CDC EECA Regional Office; Professor Georgy Gotsadze, President of Curatio International Foundation; Elena Zhuravleva, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Medicine at Ilia State University.
Representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Center for Healthcare and the Asfendiyarov Medical University took part from the Kazakh side.
The seminar was an important event for everyone interested in the development of public health and the use of modern information technologies and data analysis methods. During the event, participants discussed the challenges and prospects for developing human resources in the field of Public Health Informatics and Data Science for Public Health
