The Almaty Marathon is an annual international race and the largest sports event in Central Asia.

In order to implement the objectives of the 3rd Sustainable Development Goal "Good Health and Well-being", on October 1, Sergazy Yerezhepuly Kudaibergenov, a lecturer at the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies, took part in the Almaty Marathon, an annual international race as a volunteer.
