KazNU strengthens ties with Shanghai University of Science and Technology

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) and Al-Farabi KazNU.

Delegation of Shanghai University of Science and Technology (USST) headed by Vice-Rector Mrs. Cai Yunliang visited our university. Honored guests were welcomed by: member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities Zhamila Aitzhanova, Director of Farabi Business School Zharaskhan Saryev, as well as the team of the business school.

The guests visited the museum of Al-Farabi KazNU, showing a keen interest in the history and achievements of the leading university of the country.

During the meeting, the parties shared the achievements of educational institutions and development prospects. In addition, they discussed possible areas of cooperation, including the launch of dual degree programs and exchange of students and teachers. Being one of the oldest universities in China, Shanghai University of Science and Technology is interested in establishing partnership with our university, which has a history of 90 years.

According to the guests from Shanghai, cooperation in traditional formats, such as exchange of students and pre-teachers, in the future may develop into partnership through the creation of joint programs, laboratories and centers.

The reached agreement on cooperation was sealed by the signatures of the Vice-Rectors on the Memorandum of Understanding.

It should be noted that the signing of the strategic document became possible due to the recent visit of Farabi Business School delegation to universities in China.
