Scientific seminar for doctoral students of the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine and Neuroscience on research work: endolysin therapy and viral diversity of the Caspian seal

On February 28, 2024, the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine, and Neuroscience organized a comprehensive scientific seminar chaired by Professor Almira Melsovna Kustubaeva. Doctoral students from various specialties, including "8D05101-Biology," "8D05109 - Neuroscience," and "8D05102-Biomedicine," participated in the event.

The seminar featured presentations of dissertation research by two doctoral students:

Utegenova K.S., a first-year doctoral student, presented her work on "Development of new strategies for the use of endolysins-based therapy against pathogens belonging to the Aeromonas family."

Kumar Marat, a third-year doctoral student, delivered a presentation on "Metagenomic study of viral and microbial diversity of the Caspian seal."

Faculty members actively engaged with the students, posing additional questions related to their research projects and providing valuable insights. The seminar highlighted the department's dedication to fostering scholarly inquiry and advancing scientific knowledge.

The event saw active participation from doctoral students across various specialties, including, 8D05101 Biology, 8D05102 Biomedicine, and 8D05109 Neuroscience. Conducted online via the Microsoft Teams platform, the seminar provided an interactive environment for scholarly exchange and engagement among both students and faculty members.
