A presentation on the catalog "Japanese art in the XVII-XXI centuries" was held at the State Art Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after A. Kasteev

On May 18, 2024, as part of the annual international event "Night at the Museum" in the State Art Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after A. Kasteeva held a presentation on the catalog on the topic "Japanese art in the XVII-XXI centuries." In total, 250 works were included in this catalog, most of them are works that have entered the museum fund since 1936 from the State Museum of Oriental Art, the State Central Museum of Kazakhstan, the Tselinograd Regional Museum of History and Local Lore. Museum researchers studied these works, prepared and published a catalog on Japanese national art of the XVII-XXI centuries.   The museum also hosted the opening of an exhibition of manga works by the famous Japanese artist Kaoru Mori under the name "Bride of History".

During the grand opening of the exhibition, a small concert program was organized in the museum. As part of this program, students of the Department of the Far East of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi performed a song in Japanese, held lessons on the elementary level of Japanese, and also organized a master class on origami for visitors.    Thanks to the holding of such events, the residents of the city got a valuable opportunity to get acquainted with the peculiarities of Japanese culture.
