The head of state has set serious tasks before the scientists of the country.
Today's speech by President K.-J. Tokayev at the meeting with scientists at the "Gylym Ordasy" center, addressed to the scientists of the country, draws attention to a whole complex of issues for the further development of our country. Among these issues, let me highlight several aspects.
A priority task for Kazakhstan is to ensure its competitiveness in the global market, on the international stage. It is heartening that in his speech, the head of state emphasizes the training of a new generation of specialists. "Our specialists must be educated and qualified to withstand global competition." For us, university professors who prepare future specialists, this speech provides clear guidelines that "Our youth must be creative and innovative."
Emphasizing that "The growing competition between global poles and world states indicates the onset of a new era," the President of the country calls on us to pay primary attention to the development of innovative human capital, since in modern geopolitical struggle, "innovations will be crucial."
Complex modern conditions dictate the need to maintain a favorable foreign policy background that would accompany Kazakhstan's assertion of its place and role in the overall system of international relations. President K.-J. Tokayev noted: "By pursuing a balanced, constructive foreign policy, we build equal and mutually beneficial relations with all interested states. We aim for partnership, consistently building bridges of cooperation and mutual understanding, rather than walls of alienation and distrust."
This statement by President K.-J. Tokayev provides a clear guideline for educators who prepare specialists for various spheres of international cooperation, who will be ready to defend national interests both within the country and on the international stage.
