Delegation of East China Pedagogical University visited KazNU
Delegation of East China Pedagogical University within the framework of the visit to Al-Farabi KazNU met with Vice-Rector for Operations Yerkin Duisenov and deans of faculties.
The Vice-Rector, welcoming the delegation noted that KazNU pays great attention to cooperation with neighboring countries and is always ready for new collaborations in the field of science and education. Currently, KazNU cooperates with 57 universities in China. From the Celestial Empire to the university specially come professors, regularly give lectures. Last year, a branch of Northwestern Polytechnic University (PRC) was opened in KazNU. Its activity is based on the implementation of double-diploma master's degree programs on three educational programs. On March 27, 2024 together with Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography was opened a joint laboratory on remote sensing technologies and their application (Sino-Kazakhstan Joint Laboratory for Remote Sensing Technology and Application) at the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management. To date, 558 Chinese students are studying in KazNU, the Department of Chinese Studies, where the training of specialists-Chinese Studies on a three-level system: bachelor's degree - master's degree - doctoral studies (PhD).
The Vice-Rector also emphasized that Al-Farabi KazNU according to the results of determination and voting entered the Top 200 best universities in the world and took 163rd place in the international QS rating. In the countries of the Central Asian region KazNU takes 29th place and 2nd place in the post-Soviet space after Lomonosov Moscow State University.
In turn, the director of the Center for the Study of Kazakhstan, Ms. Wang Haiyan, thanking the leadership for the warm welcome and time, spoke about the activities of East China Pedagogical University and plans for the near future.
