Meeting of the Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology Dr. B.Sc., Professor M.S. Kurmanbaуeva with a PhD from Stanford University, co-founder of Biodock company Nurlybek Mursaliyev

On June 12, 2024 the meeting of the Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of Al-Farabi KazNU Kurmanbaуeva M.S. and a PhD from Stanford University Nurlybek Mursaliyev, co-founder of the Biodock company (based in Austin, Texas, USA) took place. Dr. Nurlybek Mursaliyev is the third Kazakhstani who studied and received a PhD from Stanford University, specializes in cell and molecular biology, previously worked as a teaching assistant at the same university. Stanford University is ranked 6th in the world ranking of higher education institutions "QS World University Rankings 2024" and  2nd in the Times Higher Education (THE) "World University Ranking 2024".

Dean of the Faculty, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor M.S. Kurmanbayeva noted that international cooperation with Biodock.ai is interesting for the Faculty due to the possibilities of joint implementation of mutually beneficial scientific projects in the field of high technologies within the framework of domestic and interstate scientific programs, training of doctoral students.

The main aspect of the landmark visit was to discuss the prospects of cooperation in collaboration with Biodock.ai in agrobiology, cytology, bio-visualization fields applying artificial intelligence. Biodock is a company that aimed at assisting biotech and biomedical researchers to accelerate microscopy imaging and analysis.
