KazNU scientists made a presentation at the Event of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification

On the occasion of the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, celebrated throughout the world annually on June 17, established by the UN General Assembly in 1994, scientists from the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences made a report at the UN Convention on Combat Desertification and Drought event.

As part of the third series “QAZAQSTAN 2024”of the project “Climate cannot wait” of the French Association XCSS - CROSS COUNTRY SKIING SAND, Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences Aliya Aktymbaeva, Deputy Dean for Scientific and Innovation Activities and International Relations Aina Rysmagambetova and PhD student of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology Meruert Makhambetova presented scientific results on climate, water resources and sustainable development in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
