On June 26, 2024, a PhD dissertation defense took place for Almagul Rakhataovna Aldibekova, a doctoral candidate at the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources, Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The dissertation was titled «Шарын» мемлекеттік ұлттық табиғи паркіндегі соғды шағанының (Fraxinus sogdiana Bunge.) экология-биологиялық ерекшеліктері» for the Educational Program "8D05108-Geobotany."
The defense was attended by 14 members of the dissertation council, 2 official supervisor, the domestic scientific Supervisor – Professor Kurmanbaeva Meruert Sakenovna, professor of the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources, Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, and the foreign scientific Supervisor – Professor Ahmet Aksoy, PhD, from Akdeniz University (Antalya, Turkey).
The defense was successful, and the dissertation council unanimously (100%) voted to award the PhD degree. The staff of the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources congratulates A.R. Aldibekova and her scientific advisors and wishes them further success.
