KazNU became a member of the international research programme REEX
In the University of Helsinki (Finland) was signed a memorandum on joining KazNU in the working group of executors of the international programme PEEX (Pan-Eurasian Experiment).
The signing ceremony took place after the presentation of the results of the scientific and educational activities of the REEX Group and Al-Farabi KazNU.
PEEX is a multidisciplinary initiative aimed at studying issues related to climate change, air quality, environmental protection and research infrastructure, covering regions from Northern Europe to the People's Republic of China.
During the meeting between the delegation from Al-Farabi KazNU and representatives of the PEEX programme, Professor Tuukka Petäjä, PhDs Hanna Lappalainen and Alexander Mahura, further joint projects in science and education were discussed. The area of discussion included air quality monitoring, global climate change, natural disasters related to climate change and academic mobility of young scientists, doctoral and master's students.
