KazNU Master's students were trained in France
Master students of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, studying in the second year of the specialty ‘Petrochemistry’, successfully completed a 10-month training on a joint educational programme in one of the most prestigious universities in France - Claude Bernard Lyon University.
Nadir Zhamantai, Ivan Klassen, Akzhol Akan and Nurly Tasbolatova defended their research papers, demonstrating a high level of preparation and professionalism.
University Professor Shashank Mishra in his letter expressed his gratitude for KazNU sending motivated and talented students who have shown their best behaviour. The positive feedback confirms that co-operation between the universities is bearing fruit and opening new opportunities for our students. The successes of our master students on the international arena speak of the high level of education at our university and emphasise the talent of the students. These achievements serve as motivation for junior students and contribute to the image of the university.
The advantages of the project for our Master's students are obvious. This is an international experience: studying abroad helps Master students to immerse themselves in an international environment, which significantly expands their horizons and understanding of global trends. They get prospects for career and personal growth. Graduates who have studied abroad often have a competitive advantage in the labour market, as employers value international experience and intercultural communication skills.
The initiator of the joint educational programme was the Head of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor E.A. Aubakirov. Largely due to his efforts, master's students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University received a unique opportunity to study at the best universities in Europe and a chance to realise their ambitious scientific dreams. KazNU master's student Ivan Klassen entered the doctoral programme at the University of Manchester in the UK.
To establish closer ties with international educational institutions, KazNU is successfully promoting work on developing cooperation with the University of Claude Bernard Lyon1 and other universities in order to exchange experience and implement joint educational programmes.
