SDG-4 KazNU graduates celebrated their 50th anniversary
Today, graduates of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University celebrated their 50th anniversary. They studied at the journalism faculty of the university in 1969-1974. The 50-year meeting was planned within the framework of the 90th anniversary of KazNU with the consent of the Rector of the Higher Education Institution Zhanseyit Kanseyituly Tuymebaev. About 30 graduates from different regions of the country came to the meeting. First, the graduates got acquainted with the building of the educational institution. Visited the Al-Farabi library, got acquainted with the history of the Al-Farabi museum. He also watched and admired the exhibition located on the 4th floor of the library. Later, he participated in the event for graduates of the Faculty of Journalism named after Temirbek Kozhakeev.
The anniversary gathering was opened by Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Namazaly Omashev: "Students come to our faculty every year. Actually, the graduates come in May, and now we are gathering in September. Better late than never. There is no vulnerability in our course because the competition was high when we enrolled. 7-10 people competed for one place. The people here are the ones who fought for that place. All of them love journalism and are loyal to their profession. Everyone admits that this course is their favorite," said the publicist.
Gulzhamal Temiryeva, a veteran of the newspaper "Kazakh literature" and a graduate of the information industry, shared her memories: "We educated 52 children. About 30 of them died. We hugged and became a handful. However, everyone's personality is like a mountain, and their work for the motherland and the nation is a huge sea. Thanks to those who organized today's event." On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Kazakh National University, on behalf of the rector Zhanseyit Tuimebayev, graduates writer, doctor of philological sciences Tursyn Zhurtbay and poet, journalist Zhursyn Yerman were awarded the medal "For meritorious work".
"The warmth of the word Kurstas when we see it gives energy to our souls. I believe that this university is a witness of the Kazakh nation's future success, today's efforts, and its past history. National thinking is formed in this university. 50 years ago, our teachers selected each of us individually and guided them. The model showed morals. Today, we miss those teachers and worship their spirits," he remembered his teachers. The students who participated in the event also expressed their heartfelt greetings to the graduates. He congratulated the representatives of the older generation on the anniversary and thanked them for their advice and memories. At this point, Tolegen Berishbaev offered scholarships to two active students on behalf of the graduates. Elder Kurmangazy Beksayinov thanked the young people for their participation in the event and blessed them.
