The National Good Day is celebrated annually in the country on the first Sunday of July.
For the Kazakh people, dombra is not only a national instrument, but also the soul and blood of the Kazakhs. Dombra is a faithful companion of the people, who conveyed grief and sadness, joy and delight. Dombra, which has transmitted the voices of our ancestors and the great sound of the Great Steppe from generation to generation.
On the National Day of dombra, which is celebrated annually within the walls of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Student National Instrumental Orchestra "Farabi Sazy", consisting of more than 40 talented students, held on the eve of the holiday "Kuy Tartys" with the performance of the following works by B. Aktaev – "Alash Amanaty", Makhambet – "Zhumyr Kylysh", Kurmangazy – "Balbirauyn", Dauletkerei – "Korogly", N. Tlendiev – "Alkissa", Kurmangazy – "Adai" and played the most popular melody among the youth of the country "Aiga karap" by the famous singer Sadraddin.
