First meeting of Almaty Public Headquarters for Nuclear Power Plant construction

Within the framework of Sustainable Development Goals №9. The Industry, innovation and infrastructure

The first meeting of the Almaty Public Headquarters for the construction of a nuclear power plant was held in Almaty. The headquarters includes representatives of various public organizations, scientists, experts and activists. Among them is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies, Dzhaparov Boris Alikеnovich.

The meeting participants discussed the importance of building a nuclear power plant for the development of the city and the country as a whole, as well as issues of safety and environmental friendliness of nuclear energy.

The Public Headquarters intends to conduct an active information campaign among the population in order to talk about the advantages of building a nuclear power plant and dispel myths about its safety.
